Wolfgang: What Grows in Your Garden

In 1996, the band Wolfgang signed with a major label, Sony Music Entertainment Philippines. They released their second album Semenelin and reached double-platinum status selling approximately 80,000 albums. Wolfgang became one of the most popular band in the Philippines. The all-English version of Semenelin was released in the United States on March 1997.

Semenelin was named Album of the Year at the 1996 NU107 Rock Awards, where Basti Artadi won Vocalist of the Year, Wolf Gemora took the Drummer of the Year award, Mon Legaspi took the Bassist of the Year award, and the band was named Artist of the Year and Best Live Performer.

What Grows in Your Garden

Well now the rain washed back yesterday
Bringing thoughts of wasted time
And the water it brought
Flowed swiftly through your mind
Opening your eyes to the stars just to pray
Hoping more rain will wash your garden away
But your flowers just bloom
Ever bright ever proud
Screaming I hate you so loud
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
Yes the weeds of consequence get more day by day
Of decisions you have better made
Paper flowers sparkle by an old tree butt
Just remember even paper flowers cut
Your garden shakes with the wind
But it will not fall down
Scattering seeds all around
Somewhere on the landscape lies
A place next to your heart
But the grass grows wide and even
And soon that too will be torn apart
Over bounds sprinkling seeds to the ground.
